TCS Rewards and Recognition Program
Levels of Awards
E-Cards
Available to all TCS members of any level. There is no cost associated with E-Cards. They are in place to help build a culture of recognition in TCS and allow for easy, quick acknowledgement of life events such as weddings, babies, get well soon, happy birthday, etc. E-Cards allow for custom sentiments to be added by the sender and are distributed via email.
Shout Out
Peer-to-peer award given at Employee’s discretion to show gratitude within TCS. (Examples: help with a presentation, cheered them up, gave great advice, helped with event setup, etc)
Each TCS Staff member may award five (5) Shout Outs to any TCS team member(s) throughout a given fiscal year. If a TCS Staff member would like to give more than five Shout Outs in the same fiscal year, additional can be requested. Requests for additional awards will be reviewed by the TCS Rewards and Recognition Program Administrator(s) and granted on a case-by-case basis.
Star Award
Manager-to-Staff award given at Manager’s discretion to show acknowledgement and gratitude. (Examples: stayed late working on a project, went out of town on an assignment last minute, gave a great presentation to the VP, found a way to simplify work, etc.)
Managers may give Star Awards to any TCS Staff member(s) as they deem appropriate. There is no limitation on how many can be given, but Managers should use their discretion when awarding.
ImpACT Award
Director-to-Sr. Manager-level or below award to show recognition for above and beyond type achievement. (Examples: Found a way to save the company money, developed a new process for time savings, represented Nissan regionally or globally for presentation, led innovative idea, created program for benefit of all TCS, etc.)
Directors are able to give ImpACT Awards to any TCS Staff member(s) as they deem appropriate. If a Manager or Sr. Manager would like for a staff member to be considered for an ImpACT Award, they must propose to their Director, and if approved, the Director must submit the award via the site.
Giving Awards Outside of TCS
Kudos
Available to all Nissan employees of any level. This is your opportunity to recognize employees throughout Nissan globally with a Kudos. You can thank them for a job well done, helping on a project, or being a great leader - The reasons are endless! Kudos allow for custom sentiments to be added by the sender and will automatically CC the manager of the recipient via email.
Process
To give one of the above awards, visit the TCS Rewards and Recognition website: https://tcsrewardsandrecognition.com
Once at the site, login using your Nissan email address and password. If you don't have an account yet, request login details by clicking the "Register" link. Submissions will be sent to administrators for creation, and you will receive an email for account confirmation to set your password.
Per the DOA above, issue your awards as you see fit using the “Give Recognition” link.
All submissions to give recognition are sent through the TCS Rewards and Recognition Program Administrators for validation before processing with the vendor.
If you are given an award, you will receive notification to your Nissan email address and you will be able to review awards given via your dashboard when you “Login”. Each level of award has gift options equal to their level available to redeem as recognition of the achievement. You can combine points from different awards to meet the threshold for redemption and save points for future rewards.
To redeem an award, use the “Redeem my Reward” link.
Disclaimers
· Throughout the calendar year, if $200 or more of awards are redeemed, you will then be liable for the tax implications. The site will notify you via email that you have reached that limit and you will have to accept or decline your award based on your willingness to accept the tax implications.
· If a TCS team member leaves the department or the company, the member would need to redeem all awards prior to their last day or the awards will be forfeited.
· TCS is responsible for all reporting of awards to payroll for tax purposes.
· This program is not be used in place of or in concurrence with recognizing Service Anniversaries.
· Any changes to this program need to be validated by HR and Tax.
